Terms Privacy Community Standards Support

Last updated: March 2025

TagTalk is a space for learning Tagalog — a place where beginners feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow. These community standards exist to keep that space welcoming and constructive for everyone.

These standards apply to how you use the AI chat feature, any content you save or share, and how you interact with the service overall.

1. Keep It Appropriate

TagTalk's AI instructors are designed for language learning. Do not use chat sessions to generate sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise offensive content. The virtual instructors are built to guide Tagalog learning — using them to produce harmful content violates these standards and our Terms of Service.

This includes attempts to "jailbreak" or manipulate the AI instructors to behave outside their intended purpose.

2. No Harassment or Hate Speech

TagTalk does not tolerate content that targets, demeans, or threatens any person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic. This applies to phrases you save, deck names you create, and any text submitted through the service.

3. Respect Filipino Culture

TagTalk exists to help people connect with the Tagalog language and Filipino culture. Use the platform in a spirit of genuine curiosity and respect. Content that mocks, caricatures, or demeans Filipino culture or people is not welcome here.

4. No Illegal Content

Do not use TagTalk to generate, store, or distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours. This includes but is not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that facilitates fraud or violence, or content that infringes intellectual property rights.

CSAM will be reported immediately to the relevant authorities. See our Child Safety Policy for full details.

5. No Spam or Automated Abuse

Do not use automated scripts, bots, or bulk requests to interact with TagTalk's AI chat or API. Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits. Abuse of the service degrades the experience for everyone.

6. No Impersonation

Do not impersonate TagTalk, our team members, or any other person or organization in your use of the service. This includes using deceptive account names or content that could mislead others about your identity.

7. No Scraping or Extraction

TagTalk's verb database, AI instructor configurations, and content are proprietary. Do not attempt to extract, scrape, or systematically copy this content. Using the service to harvest data for a competing product is prohibited.

8. Use Learning Tools as Intended

The AI chat, flashcard drills, and practice tools are designed to help you learn Tagalog. Using them for purposes outside of language learning — such as generating content at scale, testing AI systems, or any commercial use without authorization — is not permitted.

In short: Learn Tagalog with enthusiasm, treat the tools with respect, and keep the vibe positive. If you see something that shouldn't be here, report it to support@tagtalk.ph.

Violations of these standards may result in a warning, temporary restriction, or permanent account termination depending on severity. See our Moderation Policy for how we handle reports and appeals.
