TagTalk (“TagTalk,” “we,” “us”) provides an AI-assisted Tagalog language-learning platform that connects learners with real instructors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using TagTalk, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us and information generated as you use the service:

• Account details — name, email address, password, and role (learner or teacher).
• Profile information — for teachers, this includes bio, headline, languages, specialties and photo.
• Learning content — your chats, journal entries, recordings, questions, lessons, and progress data.
• Messages — direct messages and files shared between learners and instructors.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage & device data — pages visited, actions taken, approximate location, IP address, browser and device information, collected to operate and improve the service.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide, personalize and improve the learning experience, including AI feedback and lessons based on your activity.
• Connect learners and instructors and enable messaging and content sharing.
• Process memberships, teacher packages, payouts and refunds.
• Send transactional emails such as verification codes, notifications and receipts.
• Monitor, secure and troubleshoot the service, and prevent abuse.

4. AI processing

To provide corrections, lessons and reports, your learning content may be processed by third-party AI providers. We share only what is needed to generate these features and do not sell your content. AI output can contain mistakes and should not be treated as professional or authoritative translation.

5. How we share information

We share information only as needed to run TagTalk: with instructors you choose to connect with (subject to your per-instructor privacy settings), with service providers such as our payment and infrastructure partners, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Your privacy controls

You control what each connected instructor can see — chats, journals, lessons or stats — through per-instructor privacy settings. You can access, update or delete your account information, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children

TagTalk is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. International users

TagTalk may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate protections for cross-border transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “last updated” date, and where appropriate provide additional notice.
